Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Power System Engineer in Guangdong, China, to optimize power consumption for Snapdragon wearable, camera, and robotics projects. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet power efficiency requirements and involves deep knowledge of Linux power management systems.
Ansvarsområden
- Identify power requirements and quantify power gap/risk areas, optimize power consumption to meet the requirements
- Analyze and debug system sleep block issues, optimize button power consumption
- Analyze high DDR/CPU utilization issues, and provide optimization methods
- Generate comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing analysis results and providing actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams
- Support CE to analyze customer power issue.
Krav
- A master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field is required as a minimum.
- Strong experience in developing and utilizing performance and power models using languages such as C and Python.
- Solid knowledge of power management techniques such as Linux suspend/resume flow and idle state selection
- System knowledge of Linux CPUDCVS architecture, CPU frequency governor PELT/WALT algorithm
- System knowledge of Linux devfreq architecture
- System knowledge of Linux thermal management
- Strong experience of power analysis usage such as systrace, simpleperf, etc
- Ability to review hardware schematic
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
