Ansvarsområden
- Design resilient network protocols and architectures for varying connectivity conditions.
- Apply mechanisms to maintain communication services for sensors, IoT, and edge systems during disruptions.
- Develop methods for computation offloading between end devices, edge, and cloud.
- Contribute to robust AI/ML and data analysis for resilient decision making with partial data.
- Integrate and evaluate solutions with partners' software in large-scale tests.
- Publish results in leading international conferences and journals.
- Contribute to EU project deliverables and technical reporting.
- Collaborate with industrial and academic partners across Europe.
Krav
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong background in networked and distributed systems (e.g., network protocols, wireless/IoT networking, edge computing).
- Experience in system design and experimental evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to publish scientific research.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C++, or equivalent).
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience with EU-funded research projects.
- Experience with robust or distributed AI/ML (e.g., federated learning).
- Experience with delay- and disruption-tolerant, opportunistic, or mesh networking.
- Familiarity with containerization, virtualization, or distributed deployment environments.
- Experience with computation offloading, caching, or edge resource management.
- Experience with testbeds or real-world deployments, including low-power IoT devices.
- Familiarity with semiconductor or embedded hardware platforms.
- Experience collaborating with industrial partners.
