The Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of materials for production in the correct time and quantity, maintaining optimal inventory levels. This role involves planning and securing timely material sourcing, managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Ansvarsområden
- Plan and ensure timely supply of materials according to the production program.
- Manage material planning based on forecast, demand, and master production plan.
- Monitor inventory and coverage to prevent shortages, overstock, and obsolescence.
- Coordinate and follow up with suppliers to guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Negotiate supply plan adjustments based on changes in demand and production.
- Implement inventory optimization and supply continuity strategies.
- Manage urgent orders and critical materials to avoid production disruptions.
- Coordinate issuance and transmission of releases, ASNs, and logistics documentation.
- Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Purchasing, Quality, and Finance departments for operational continuity.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives and Supply Chain projects.
- Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure objective fulfillment.
- Participate in new product introduction projects and engineering changes.
- Follow up on supplier performance through visits and periodic reviews.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, 5S, and code of conduct standards.
- Train and support new team members.
Krav
- Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or International Business degree (Graduated).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Demand Planning within manufacturing companies.
- Experience in inventory management, sourcing, supplier relations, MRP/ERP, and coordination of materials for production.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience in managing inventory and supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Experience in demand planning and master production planning.
- Knowledge of logistics documentation and coordination.
- Involvement in continuous improvement and supply chain projects.
