Vattenfall is seeking a senior Originator in Hamburg to drive new business in renewable energy markets, focusing on PPAs and Hydrogen offtake. This role involves structuring, negotiating, and closing deals while nurturing relationships and executing asset strategy. The position requires over 5 years of relevant power market experience and fluency in English and German.
Ansvarsområden
- Originate new business in renewable energy markets (RES, PPAs, Hydrogen offtake).
- Structure and negotiate long-term PPAs for individual projects or portfolios.
- Lead the deal process from start to finish, liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Nurture relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, and corporates.
- Grow renewables business and execute asset strategy with Business Area Wind.
- Report and present negotiation outcomes to internal committees.
Krav
- >5 years experience in the relevant power market, ideally in Origination.
- Academic degree (technical or economical, Master of Science or higher).
- Deep understanding of European electricity markets, participants, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical perspective.
- Resilience and determination to execute Vattenfall’s strategy.
- Strong networker, able to build trust and engagement internally and externally.
- Strong commercial sense, understanding of trading, risk management, credit risk, back office, and finance.
- Willing communicator, able to coordinate deal approvals.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Fluent English and German language proficiency.

- Focus on mid and long term Renewable Energy Solutions, PPAs, Corporate PPAs, Hydrogen offtake.
- Experience with European pipeline for Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind and Solar projects.
