ABB is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for their plant in Blučina, Czechia. This full-time, on-site role involves leading a significant plant relocation and the transition to a new manufacturing approach. The manager will oversee daily operations, drive strategic priorities, achieve KPIs, and develop a team of direct reports and their respective teams.

Ansvarsområden

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day functioning and performance of the plant.
  • Lead and coordinate key operational areas including manufacturing, logistics, quality, planning, and technology.
  • Set strategic priorities and translate them into concrete action plans and measurable results.
  • Achieve key KPIs in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, costs, and resource utilization.
  • Successfully manage the plant relocation and prepare the organization and processes for the new manufacturing model.
  • Identify opportunities to increase productivity, optimize material flows, reduce waste, and improve working capital efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, planning, procurement, and other key functions.
  • Lead and develop the management team, set clear priorities, and create an environment of accountability, trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, communicating directly with manufacturing personnel.

Krav

  • Experienced manufacturing leader with proven results and the ability to lead people and drive change.
  • 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrable experience leading teams.
  • 5+ years of experience managing managers preferred.
  • Ability to combine long-term strategic thinking with day-to-day operational management.
  • Decision-making based on data, understanding of KPIs, budgets, productivity, costs, and resource utilization.
  • Experience in manufacturing, planning, quality, logistics, supply chain, or continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead people through change and set priorities.
  • Visible leadership presence on the shop floor and clear communication skills.
  • Fluent Czech language proficiency at a very high level.
  • Minimum C1 level of English.
  • University degree, ideally in a technical or economic field; relevant experience can be an adequate substitute.
  • Safety, responsibility, and ethical conduct as part of leadership approach.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies is an advantage.
