Alfa Laval is seeking an Operational Buyer in Pune, India, to manage supplier forecasts, material management, and the replenishment process, ensuring continuous supply of materials. The role involves placing purchase orders, managing deviations, approving supplier payments, and tracking purchasing milestones to optimize quality, delivery, and cost.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ensure supplier capacity needs are met.
  • Communicate material requirements and product specifics to suppliers.
  • Place and secure delivery of purchase orders.
  • Limit deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Approve supplier payments.
  • Support the handshake process.
  • Focus on and track daily results for quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Participate in Cell Status Board meetings.
  • Engage in problem-solving and improvement activities.
  • Suggest improvements for instructions/SOPs.
  • Identify and eliminate waste.
  • Engage in safety and quality work.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and staying informed.
  • Perform forecast and logic-based planning.
  • Conduct supplier audits and visits.
  • Manage importing goods for local assembly.
  • Procure machine components, bearings, 'C' class articles (std. fasteners, bought outs, O-rings, gaskets).

Krav

  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in the same field.
  • BE mechanical or production or equivalent experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the ERP system.
  • Proficiency in English (speech and writing).
  • Understanding of Supply Chain.
  • Experience with supplier association.
  • Good knowledge of the company's business and processes.
