Google seeks a Network Operation Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This full-time, on-site role involves monitoring network health, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating with teams to ensure network reliability and performance. A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Act as a first responder for faults and outages on Google's production network.
  • Monitor network health and identify potential risks or performance degradation.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 network support.
  • Perform root cause analysis on network incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for and contribute to the development of automation and tooling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to manage and resolve network issues.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in telecommunications working with network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers and data services.
  • 2 years of experience in IP networking, and key networking protocols like TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, SDN etc.
  • Experience in network operations, systematic troubleshooting in IP and optical environment.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including working nights, weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Certifications in Network (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/CCDE/JNCIE/JNCIP) or equivalent practice experience.
  • Experience in a network operations center or technical assistance center environment managing IP and optical networks.
  • Understanding of generic protocols and their applications, device repair, network topologies and global internet technologies.
  • Ability to use, understand and navigate Element Management System (EMS) and Network Management System (NMS) systems to manage optical networks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours, including working nights, weekends, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required in a network operations center environment.
