From enabling seamless connectivity across global campuses to supporting the data centers that fuel breakthrough research in 5G, AI, and next-generation computing, your work will directly impact the speed and reliability of everything Qualcomm builds. You'll be part of a newly established Mexico City operations team, collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers in India and San Diego as part of a truly global, follow-the-sun operation. Key Responsibilities 

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure across Qualcomm sites 

• Perform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and maintenance activities on routing and switching platforms 

• Respond to network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution within established SLAs 

• Execute standard change requests following established operational procedures and change management processes 

• Collaborate with the India operations team on shift handoffs, shared ticket queues, and operational continuity 

• Partner with the architecture and design team in San Diego to implement approved network designs and standards 

• Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, asset inventories, and configuration baselines 

• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes, runbooks, and automation efforts

Required Qualifications 

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations 

• Strong working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking protocols (STP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) 

• Experience operating and troubleshooting enterprise wireless (Wi-Fi) infrastructure 

• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, or similar) 

• Experience with Cisco routing and switching platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, or equivalent) 

• Strong English communication skills — written and verbal — required for daily collaboration with global teams 

• Ability to work on-site in Mexico City 5 days per week

Preferred Qualifications 

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification 

• Experience working in a global, follow-the-sun operations model 

• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python scripting) 

• ITIL Foundation or experience working within ITIL-based service management frameworks

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
OR
1+ year of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field (e.g., Business, Humanities, Marketing), or related field.
OR
3+ years of IT-related work experience with a High school diploma or equivalent.
