Ansvarsområden

Build and improve automation components that accelerate link and device restoration across multiple network fabrics.
Troubleshoot network failures at the component level using various operational tools.
Develop link test plans and structured diagnostic output.
Extend and integrate with existing tooling to improve monitoring and alerting for out-of-service capacity.
Create and maintain team-level operational metrics, monitors, and processes.
Write clean, testable code (Python preferred) with documentation.
Contribute to design reviews and operational improvement discussions.
Participate in on-call rotations and support follow-the-sun coverage.
Document systems, tools, and runbooks clearly.
Actively learn team product architecture and apply knowledge to deliver solutions.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or 3+ years of verification in communication systems experience.
1+ years of computer networking experience, or experience with network equipment installation and configuration.
Experience in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
Experience with IP networking fundamentals and TCP/IP, UDP, DNS & DHCP.
Experience in major internet routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
Experience in a Linux or Unix environment.
Experience in scripting, programming, or security code reviewing in a common language, such as Python, Java, or C++.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience with automation and any version control tools.
Experience in networking administration and troubleshooting.
Experience in Linux and Networking protocols.
Experience working in large-scale networking environments.
Exposure to Amazon internal tooling: workflow orchestration engines, deployment automation tools, self-service automation frameworks, link testing services, operational event monitoring systems, or network health monitoring systems.
Experience with configuration management or deployment automation.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools or event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of BGP or OSPF routing protocols in production network environments.
Exposure to optical networking: DWDM, fiber testing, or coherent optics.
Experience with link testing methodologies (IPTES, IPFS, or equivalent).
CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent networking certification.
