As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT) in Chonburi, Thailand, you will be responsible for staging, setting up, deploying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting IT hardware within Microsoft's datacenter environments. This fully on-site role requires hands-on experience with enterprise server and network systems, diagnostics, break-fix activities, and adherence to operational procedures, with a Bachelor's degree in a related IT field. This opportunity offers career development within Microsoft Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I), focusing on delivering core infrastructure for Microsoft Azure and other cloud services, with an emphasis on personal and professional growth.

Ansvarsområden

Perform hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting, identifying failure causes and replacing faulty components.
Deploy, install, stage, and configure physical server and network hardware.
Conduct rack-and-stack activities, equipment installation, cabling, labeling, and grounding verification.
Execute server and system hardware break-fix activities, including fault isolation and component replacement.
Perform server/system upgrades, hardware refreshes, and decommissioning following established procedures.
Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and deployment requirements.
Follow documented procedures and runbooks, reporting and escalating technical issues as needed.
Maintain accurate work records, tickets, technical documentation, and shift handovers.
Assist and share technical knowledge with other technicians.
Complete required training and develop hands-on technical capability.
Contribute to a positive team environment through clear communication and collaboration.
Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or a related IT field.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills for technical issue communication, documentation, and escalation.
Direct hands-on experience deploying, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and performing break-fix activities on enterprise server and/or network infrastructure in large-scale server farms or datacenters.
Hands-on experience performing server/system upgrades, hardware refreshes, component replacement, rack-and-stack, cabling, patching, and connectivity verification.
Demonstrated ability to perform structured troubleshooting, fault isolation, corrective action, and post-execution verification following documented procedures and safety requirements.
Ability to work shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness and ability to work onsite in Chonburi, Thailand.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Experience supporting server, storage, and network infrastructure in hyperscale datacenters, colocation facilities, large enterprise datacenters, or similar environments.
Hands-on experience with enterprise server hardware and components, including installation, upgrades, and break-fix.
Hands-on experience installing and supporting network switches, network equipment, copper and fiber cabling, patching, labeling, and connectivity verification.
Experience supporting customer-facing IT infrastructure and performing physical troubleshooting within datacenter environments.
Experience working with documented runbooks, change controls, ticketing systems, incident management, and escalation processes.
Experience working within 24x7 operational or mission-critical environments.
Applicable certifications such as CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+, or structured cabling certifications are advantageous.
