Amazon Data Services Sweden AB is seeking a Mechanical Technician for Data Center Engineering and Operations in Västerås. This role involves ensuring the operational integrity and maintenance of cooling and associated mechanical systems within mission-critical data centers, requiring a strong understanding of equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. The position emphasizes maintaining high uptime and efficiency while driving cost reduction through innovation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver preventative maintenance on mechanical/electrical/controls equipment across data center sites.
  • Identify, purchase, and store necessary spare parts for planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement remediation actions.
  • Mentor on-site technicians on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
  • Supervise contractors performing maintenance tasks.
  • Perform maintenance tasks including filter changes, tank inspections, and legionella testing.
  • Conduct first-level troubleshooting of mechanical and cooling equipment.
  • Develop and implement risk assessments and method statements for work.
  • Work on-call or out of hours when required.
  • Take daily operational readings and provide data for metrics reporting.
  • Manage and input data into the EAM system for assigned assets.
  • Update maintenance reports and planners.
  • Perform basic support concepts like ticketing, root cause analysis, and task prioritization.

Krav

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in the mechanical equipment field (e.g., pumps, engines, cooling systems).
  • Ability to travel between nominated sites on a daily or weekly basis.
  • EU Driver's license.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Particular experience in cooling systems (AHUs, CRAHUs, HVAC systems, Generators, Pumps, industrial water systems) is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated capability in understanding and troubleshooting cooling equipment and fundamentals.
  • Training or certification in cooling systems is a strong benefit.
