Ericsson is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II in Lewisville, Texas, to lead mechanical design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, minimum 1 year of experience, and proficiency in CAD. The engineer will support production, quality initiatives, and failure analysis.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead and contribute to mechanical design projects from concept through completion
  • Perform maintenance updates on existing equipment designs
  • Develop equipment and tools by defining and writing clear specifications, including 3D designs, technical drawings, and design documentation
  • Support prototype assembly and verification processes
  • Design and develop tools, fixtures, and grippers for use in automated processes
  • Contribute to New Production Introduction (NPI), Transfer Product Introduction (TPI), and Maintenance projects
  • Support Test Hardware development activities and the CNC machine area as needed
  • Produce measurement results with clear technical explanations based on equipment and subject parameters
  • Support failure analysis and provide technical assessments
  • Assist with quality support process implementation and participate in improvement groups
  • Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated on schedule and monitor the measurement center environment, reporting any abnormalities

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing and mechanical design projects
  • Foundational knowledge of Mechatronics and Product Development
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with equipment development principles
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team

  • Experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD systems is an asset
