Emerson is seeking a Materials Manager in Elk River, MN, to lead purchasing, inventory control, and scheduling activities. This hybrid role involves serving as a key contributor to the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, leveraging ERP systems to manage materials effectively, meet customer demand, and optimize inventory levels.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage, train, and lead department personnel.
  • Coordinate with Commodity Manager on sourcing strategies and identify new sources.
  • Assist in developing and realizing the SIOP plan by managing material flow.
  • Maintain forecast in ERP system based on SIOP process.
  • Oversee master schedule to ensure 95% promise date service level.
  • Develop materials and production plans to support the master schedule.
  • Ensure material availability for the manufacturing process.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure adherence to Emerson's supplier payment terms policy and negotiate costs.
  • Maintain an accurate ERP database, including costs, lead times, usage, and transactions.
  • Prepare and manage the annual department budget.
  • Effectively manage raw material and piece parts to meet inventory turn objectives.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in purchasing, production control, materials management, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for materials planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience using Oracle ERP systems.
  • Three (3) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or materials management.
