Alstom is seeking a full-time Material Management Senior Team Leader in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. This role involves leading global supply chain functions, managing individual performance, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have an Engineering or Business degree, strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with experience in supply chain and ERP systems like SAP.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ensure effective performance for the Global Supply Chain (GSC) function and achievement of service delivery requirements.
  • Act as business partner to Global Functions (Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Office), Supply Chain Head of Region/Country Leaders and SSO counterparts.
  • Supervise and ensure effective Supply Chain activities.
  • Manage individual performance, build teamwork, initiate and drive continuous improvement within the team.
  • Lead new initiatives and assess staff training needs.
  • Recruit best-in-class supply chain personnel and develop competencies.
  • Manage individual performance and people development through PMP process.
  • Provide guidance to the team based on management direction.
  • Assess staff training needs and encourage compliance of training requirements.
  • Ensure the team has all necessary materials, accesses, and resources.
  • Allocate projects and new initiatives to teams.
  • Accountable for smooth delivery of global and regional SC processes in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team to the Operational Manager.
  • Act as 2nd level of issue escalation.
  • Lead the effectiveness of processes through identification of areas for continuous improvement.
  • Support decision making by adding value through proactive delivery of information and knowledge.
  • Act as Business Partner to Central Business Teams and align amongst GSS Team Leads.
  • Participate in regular calls with business partners.
  • Manage compliance with directives and legal policy.
  • Ensure consistent application of all relevant SC processes and tools.
  • Prioritize work in alignment with business goals, strategies, and policies.
  • Ensure buddy system and succession plans are in place.
  • Take the lead for new initiatives & projects.
  • Ensure process & tools development as per business requirements.
  • Monitor sourcing project quality, cost & time delivery & legal project evolution.
  • Ensure work package sheet commitment respect.
  • Prepare Business Award.

Krav

  • Engineering Degree, Business Degree or similar complemented by a demonstrated track record.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in a relevant position.
  • Consistent experience in Supply Chain area.
  • Leadership skills.

  • Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in reporting and data analytics.
