As a Material Controller at Volvo Group in Hosakote, India, you will be responsible for managing supplier coordination, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. The position is a 2-year direct contract.

Ansvarsområden

Daily monitor supplier deliveries and act on deviations.
Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, order confirmations, and discrepancies.
Track inbound shipments and update delivery status in the system.
Resolve delivery and quality issues with suppliers.
Monitor daily MRP Alarms (missing ASN) and take necessary actions.
Monitor in-transit ASN’s, call off/ IDOC’s report in SAP system.
Update MRP parameters in SAP as new parts and suppliers are introduced.
Manage deviations swiftly and make cost-efficient decisions to minimize risks.
Communicate to suppliers on low SDP suppliers and follow up for action plans with the Purchasing Team.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels as per norms.
Manage and coordinate with suppliers for JIT parts.
Coordinate with the production planning team to ensure material availability.
Monitor material shortages and escalate issues to senior management.
Communicate critical parts lists to internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with the Supplier Relationship Manager for supplier risk and crisis management.
Monitor in-transit shipments with the Production Logistics team for late shipments.
Run reports from the ERP system to analyze material shortages and supplier performance.
Identify opportunities for process improvement in material flow and inventory control.

Krav

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Bachelor of Science (Mathematics/Computer Science/Chemistry) or Bachelor of Commerce.
1-5 years of experience in a supply chain, materials management, or logistics role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Plex) is highly desirable.
Basic understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management concepts (e.g., JIT, Inventory valuation).
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Prior internship or experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment is a significant plus.
Knowledge in Python will be an added advantage.
Power BI knowledge is an added advantage.
