Teknik, data och digitalt · Mjukvaru- och webbutveckling · Mjukvaruutveckling · Maskininlärning

I korthet

This Master's thesis project involves developing an enhanced AR avatar that synchronizes facial movements with synthesized speech for a real-time remote conversation demonstrator. The work includes implementing improved avatar features and training a deep neural network for movement estimation, evaluated in Kista with an Ericsson research team during spring or summer 2027.

Ansvarsområden

Review avatar facial representations and rendering methods, and select a suitable baseline system.
Implement an improved avatar for a remote speaker, including lip, jaw, and eyelid movements.
Train a compact deep neural network (DNN) to estimate avatar mouth and head movements from an incoming speech signal.
Evaluate the perceived conversation quality of the improved system against a baseline.

Krav

Pursuing a master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
Coursework in signal processing and machine learning is essential.
Good programming skills in MATLAB, C, or Python.
Proficient in English.

Förmåner

Outstanding opportunity to use your skills and imagination to push the boundaries of what's possible.
Be challenged but not alone; join a team of diverse innovators.
Work with an experienced research team at Ericsson.
