I korthet
This Master Thesis project at Saab in Linköping, Sweden, focuses on Trust-Aware Distributed Data Fusion for mission systems. The student will investigate methods for estimating and incorporating source trustworthiness into fusion algorithms, suitable for students in their final Master's program stages.
Ansvarsområden
- Investigate trust-aware distributed data fusion, focusing on the fusion of state estimates exchanged between multiple platforms.
- Estimate trustworthiness of sources and information dynamically and incorporate these estimates into distributed fusion algorithms.
- Address challenges including unknown correlations, time-varying source reliability, and distinguishing faulty/deceptive information.
- Conduct a literature study.
- Develop and implement suitable trust and fusion models.
- Evaluate methods through simulation in representative multi-platform scenarios.
- Gain practical experience and contribute to Saab's research and development on future mission capabilities.
Krav
- Currently in the final stage of a Master’s program in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- About to begin a 30 hp thesis project.
- Interest in data fusion, target tracking, classification, machine learning, and cyber defense.
- Proficiency in theoretical analysis, modelling, coding, and simulation.
- Ability to pass a security vetting.
Förmåner
- Opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and specialists.
- Gain invaluable practical experience.
- Make a tangible contribution to Saab's growth and development.
- Work on a research problem closely connected to the development of future mission capabilities.
- Support and guidance to translate theoretical knowledge into practical solutions.
