Students are invited to undertake a 30 HP Master Thesis project focusing on developing and analyzing interface roadmaps within a model-based reference architecture at Saab in Sweden. The project involves literature review, stakeholder interviews, method proposal, and application to concrete interfaces.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform a literature review on interface evolution, interface contracts and product line architectures.
  • Interview key stakeholders to identify important logical interfaces and pain points.
  • Propose a method and metamodel for 'interface roadmaps' linked to the Surveillance 4+1 views and RAR.
  • Apply the method to 1-2 concrete interfaces, modeling their evolution over a 3-5 year horizon.
  • Analyze how different interface roadmap choices affect modularity, reuse and integration.
  • Optionally, prototype simple tool support for visualizing and maintaining interface roadmaps.

Krav

  • Final stage of Engineering Design, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics or equivalent.
  • About to begin a 30 hp thesis project.
  • Interest in system and software architecture.
  • Interest in model-based systems engineering.
  • Interest in product line/platform development.
  • Must pass a security vetting.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with SysML.
  • Experience with Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with a lightweight web/visualization tool.
