Ansvarsområden

Implement a traffic manager (TM) in CakeML and/or Pancake languages.
Integrate the TM with the HOL4P4 software switch.
Interface the TM with ingress and egress parts via Unix raw sockets or similar mechanisms.
Optimize TM utilization of multi-core CPU architectures.
Validate the TM with an extensive test suite for compliance with IEEE 802.1Q standards.
Explore advanced TM functionality such as QoS prioritization and different scheduling algorithms (if time allows).
Demonstrate support for different architectures (e.g., ARM, RISC-V) and benchmark performance on multicore hardware (e.g., Raspberry Pi 5) (if time allows).

Krav

Student in the final stage of a Computer Science degree programme, undertaking a 30 hp thesis project.
Specialization in Software Engineering and Management.
Intermediate level of P4 programming knowledge.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working with P4.
Understanding of the data plane implementation of common network protocols.
General knowledge about switch and router hardware.
Geographical proximity to Saab's operations in Linköping or Lindholmen is highly desirable.

Önskade kvalifikationer

Knowledge of the P4 programming language.
Experience with interactive theorem provers is not required, but the project is based on a toolchain involving them.
