I korthet

As a Process & Automation Engineer at Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk, you will develop, implement, and optimize production processes, automation solutions, and digital manufacturing applications. This role involves leading automation projects, supporting PLC-controlled systems, and integrating robotic applications, with a hybrid work model. A Master's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering and experience with PLC, HMI, robotics, and project management are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Develop, implement, and optimize cutting-edge production processes, automation solutions, and digital manufacturing applications.
  • Lead automation projects from concept to final care using Atlas Copco methodologies (CTP 2.0).
  • Define and install new production assets, manage project timelines, budgets, and investment files.
  • Provide expert advice on manufacturability and industrialization.
  • Support and optimize PLC-controlled production systems.
  • Coordinate PLC and HMI programming adjustments.
  • Seamlessly integrate robotic applications (such as KUKA or FANUC).
  • Drive machine connectivity and SCADA solutions.
  • Build insightful dashboards to track machine performance.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies like AMRs, AGVs, and humanoid robotics.

Krav

  • Master's degree in Industrial or Civil Engineering (Electromechanics, Automation) or equivalent experience.
  • Good knowledge of production processes and industrial automation.
  • Analytical, critical, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience with PLC systems and HMIs.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Beckhoff) is an important asset.
  • Hands-on familiarity or experience with industrial robotics (such as KUKA, FANUC) and SCADA systems or industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Profinet).
  • Strong project management skills to independently manage scope, timing, quality, and budgets.
  • Affinity with machine connectivity, Industry 4.0 applications, and data analysis tools like SQL or Power BI.
  • Professional communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Prior experience within manufacturing, process engineering, assembly lines, or automation setups is a plus.
