I korthet

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead process development, automation, and continuous improvement in Tianjin, China. This role involves managing a team of 4-5 FTEs, driving digitalization, and ensuring compliance with quality and SHE standards. Requires a Master's degree in Engineering and 5-10+ years of relevant experience.

Ansvarsområden

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
Lead the industrialization of new products (NPI) and localization.
Implement automation solutions like robotics and automated production lines.
Deploy digital manufacturing solutions including MES and data collection.
Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with internal standards, SOPs, and customer requirements.
Manage manufacturing engineering cost centers, budgets, and CAPEX projects.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing engineering team.
Identify operational risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
Attend and report on local & divisional governance meetings.

Krav

Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
Very good English and Chinese language skills, both spoken & written.
5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process development
Strong background in industrial production environments (cleanliness/washing, assembly, testing, painting)
Proven experience leading and managing an engineering team
Sound business and financial acumen related to CAPEX investments and improvement business cases
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrialization, and lean systems
Experience with automation, digital manufacturing tools, or Industry 4.0 solutions
Familiarity with quality and compliance requirements (ISO, IATF, ATEX)
Data-driven mindset and analytical capability
