We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead process development, automation, and continuous improvement in Tianjin, China. This role involves managing a team of 4-5 FTEs, driving digitalization, and ensuring compliance with quality and SHE standards. Requires a Master's degree in Engineering and 5-10+ years of relevant experience.
Ansvarsområden
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Lead the industrialization of new products (NPI) and localization.
- Implement automation solutions like robotics and automated production lines.
- Deploy digital manufacturing solutions including MES and data collection.
- Champion lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with internal standards, SOPs, and customer requirements.
- Manage manufacturing engineering cost centers, budgets, and CAPEX projects.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing engineering team.
- Identify operational risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place.
- Attend and report on local & divisional governance meetings.
Krav
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Very good English and Chinese language skills, both spoken & written.
- 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or process development
- Strong background in industrial production environments (cleanliness/washing, assembly, testing, painting)
- Proven experience leading and managing an engineering team
- Sound business and financial acumen related to CAPEX investments and improvement business cases
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrialization, and lean systems
- Experience with automation, digital manufacturing tools, or Industry 4.0 solutions
- Familiarity with quality and compliance requirements (ISO, IATF, ATEX)
