Saab is seeking motivated Engineering students for a paid Summer 2027 internship in West Lafayette, IN, focusing on aircraft design and production. Interns will work on assigned projects, contribute to continuous improvement, and gain hands-on experience under the guidance of Senior Manufacturing Engineers.

Ansvarsområden

  • Complete a designated internship project, as assigned by the department manager, to practice skills and apply knowledge.
  • Lead and coordinate an engineering project with deliverable expectations and providing value-added impact to the operation.
  • Partner with assigned mentor to solicit feedback and direction regarding the project assignment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects in cross-functional teams with quality, manufacturing and tooling.
  • Contribute directly to the improvement of manufacturing processes and problem-solving events.

Krav

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program, with a major in Engineering or related discipline is required.
  • Completed Freshman year or greater at time of hire (fall 2026).
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness and excitement to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to be self-driven and deliver a high quality of work.
  • Ability to drive and lead change.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Prior Co-Op experience is preferred but not required.

Förmåner

  • $21 - $24/hr depending on previous internship experience
