Volvo Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Shanghai to develop and implement new remanufacturing processes for engines and hydraulics, supporting the circular economy and sustainable transport solutions. The role involves process development, equipment design, factory layout optimization, and project leadership for new product industrialization.

Ansvarsområden

  • Support local production and liaise with Product Development on product/design changes.
  • Design, develop, and implement new or revised remanufacturing processes for cost-efficient products.
  • Design manufacturing equipment and tools, and set requirements.
  • Design and optimize factory layout.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions for production teams.
  • Lead or participate in new product industrialization projects.
  • Manage BOMs and Design Change Notifications.
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Participate in pre-study projects for new remanufactured products and manufacturing technologies.
  • Support the production team with technical matters and quality cases.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and logistics teams.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics or a related Engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing engineering or a related role, preferably in powertrain systems (Engine, Transmission, Hydraulics).
  • Skilled in CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (speaking and writing).

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience in green field plant/production line is an advantage.
  • Experience in aftermarket service, reman or technical training is an advantage.
  • Understanding of reman technology framework and trends is a plus.
  • Open to occasional overseas business trips.
