Amazon's Surface Transportation Operations team seeks a Supply Chain Manager for daily freight movements in Hyderabad. Ansvarsområden

  • Manage daily freight movements into and out of NA fulfillment centers and associated fulfillment network.
  • Manage daily Service Levels and drive KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement processes and cost initiatives in the network.
  • Communicate tactfully with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Finance, Tech, Fulfillment Centers).
  • Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis.
  • Develop Key Performance Metrics to assist with driving business results.
  • Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes, identify and eliminate root causes of defects to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.
  • Quickly understand business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Systematically escalate problems or variance to relevant owners and teams, and follow through on resolutions.
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
  • Create narrative outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these findings in a review forum.
  • Propose improvements to existing processes and utilize AI tools for enhancing productivity.
  • Lead a shift cluster of frontline team managers managing Amazon's middle-mile trucking in real time.
  • Manage live operations, people, and mechanisms.
  • Handle handover from the prior shift and manage active disruptions (e.g., drivers stalled, equipment failures, accidents, safety escalations).
  • Provide guidance and escalate issues as needed when team managers require assistance.
  • Coach team managers through 1:1s, floor-walks, and live feedback.
  • Measure service-level attainment, resolution time, and escalation volume.
  • Own weekly and monthly business reviews for the scope.
  • Oversee Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) carriers and TOMY drivers.

Krav

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field
  • 3+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar
  • Background in Supply chain/ transportation
  • Loss prevention background
  • Excellent program management skills
  • Ability to pull and analyze data with ease
  • Ability to drive process improvements
  • Ability to standardize processes
  • Ability to eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
  • 3+ years in full-time industry or military work, or experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate
