Amazon Search is seeking a Manager I, ML Data Operations in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to lead a team of 20-25 associates responsible for delivering quality data annotation to improve AI/ML models for search services. The role involves ensuring productivity and quality standards, driving process improvements, and managing team performance.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead a team of 20 to 25 associates with expertise in various processes and languages.
  • Execute and plan to deliver business metrics, set operational goals, and manage activities.
  • Manage escalations, analyze data, highlight trends and gaps, and report key metrics.
  • Prepare data for business meetings and present to senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Plan capacity and commit to volume by managing resources, queue, shift, cross-training, and leave.
  • Own and prioritize work allocation based on business needs.
  • Own the output quality of the managed process.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis and create COEs (Correction of Error) reports.
  • Initiate and lead process improvement projects, present solution proposals, and implement them.
  • Participate in business reviews with mid-level and senior leadership.
  • Participate in new process onboarding and experiments with complete documentation.
  • Participate in or own modules of solution-building for business process setup, operations, and tools.
  • Demonstrate understanding of performance and leadership bar for team members and hiring decisions.
  • Build launch plans for new team members and track their progress.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports.
  • Devise and implement performance improvement plans for associates.
  • Identify and work with top performers for talent development and create a leadership pipeline.

Krav

  • Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • 4-6 years of work experience with at least 1 year in managing people directly.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Well-versed in employee development and performance management skills and strategies.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with employees across teams with different skill sets.
  • Proven ability to report and analyze data.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Package (especially Excel at Intermediate to Advanced level).
  • Confident to work with large volumes of data.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate & drive process improvements.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising.
  • Working knowledge of Machine learning.
  • Certified or Green belt trained in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with tools like QuickSight and Tableau.
