Amazon is seeking a Manager I, Machine Learning Data Ops to lead a team of 20-25 employees in Delhi, India. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring SLA adherence, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performance culture. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience, including 18 months in a team leadership role, and strong data handling and communication skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 20–25 associates engaged in ML data annotation operations.
  • Ensure process deliverables per SLA and deliver on operational & qualitative KPIs.
  • Generate reports on team performance and SOPs, and provide actionable insights to Senior Leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement by contributing to the development of audit methodologies, checklists, and test frameworks.
  • Translate organizational vision into actionable goals and promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and collaborate with remote, multi-cultural teams.

Krav

  • Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience, with at least 18 months as a team leader/manager.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Very good presentation, feedback & coaching skills.
  • Ability to observe, analyze and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Hands-on experience on MS-Office, preferably on MS-Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities and ensure deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
  • Basic data handling and data interpretation skills.
  • Comfortable with 24x7 rotational shifts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications, especially MS Excel & Word at an advanced level.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel and other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed, is a plus.
  • Communicating with Internal customers (ACES, Training, Quality etc.) – Drive and execute bar-raising initiatives aimed at hiring and developing top talent and build career development road-map for the associates.
  • Experience in managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility in an ML/AI data operations environment.
  • Knowledge of databases (SQL, MySQL) and Advanced Excel; experience working with and analyzing large datasets to drive business improvements.
  • Familiarity with ML data annotation workflows, labeling tools, or AI/ML program operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools or Green Belt certification.
  • Experience working in geographically distributed, multi-cultural team environments.
  • Ability to perform ad hoc reporting, pull data from multiple systems, and translate insights into operational decisions.
