Prime Video seeks a Manager for Data Engineering & Insights to lead their advertising organization. This role involves managing a hybrid team of Data Engineers and Software Development Engineers, owning the technical vision for data platforms and pipelines, and driving AI enablement strategies. The ideal candidate has extensive data engineering experience, SQL proficiency, and proven people management skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Build, lead, and develop a hybrid team of Data Engineers and Software Development Engineers.
  • Own the technical vision and architecture for the team's data platforms, pipelines, and data lakes.
  • Own end-to-end delivery, operational excellence, and on-call health for the advertising-measurement data platform and its associated software and GenAI systems.
  • Set and steward the team's technical direction in partnership with senior engineers.
  • Own stakeholder relationships with Prime Video Ads Finance, Product, and partner engineering teams.
  • Drive the team's AI-enablement charter, including the semantics layer and GenAI tooling.
  • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with product and engineering leadership to align data platform roadmap with business priorities.
  • Communicate technical strategy and trade-offs to senior leadership.

Krav

  • 7+ years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience managing a data or BI team.
  • Experience leading and influencing the data or BI strategy of your team or organization.
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and promoting engineering talent.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR.
  • Experience with AWS Tools and Technologies (Redshift, S3, EC2).
