Volvo Circular Charlotte is looking for a Maintenance Technician II for the 1st Shift to support remanufacturing operations. The role involves performing reactive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and coordinating with managers for scheduled maintenance. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience with blueprints and schematics.
Ansvarsområden
- Performs reactive and preventive maintenance on machines and facility.
- Records, reports, and acts on solutions for damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
- Manages spare part inventory.
- Identifies causes of unexpected breakdowns and documents them.
- Prepares reports documenting work performed, including Kaizens.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance using the maintenance database system.
- Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new product industrialization and required modifications.
- Makes necessary modifications and implements test runs, conferring with product manager on results.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Mitigates potential safety hazards.
- Troubleshoots mechanical breakdowns, diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and air distribution systems.
- Acts as a liaison for all vendor-related repair items at the factory.
- Supports Volvo Performance System continuous improvement projects.

Önskade kvalifikationer
- Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience is required.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to reach with arms and hands.
- Required to stand, walk and use hands to handle tools/controls.
- Required to sit, climb, balance and crouch.
- Safety glasses required while grinding, steaming, using blow nozzles, or around others performing similar tasks.
- Safety glasses in cleaning building and machine shop at all times.
- Safety shoes always required.
- Special attention to noise levels, hearing protection required in specific areas or operations.
- Continuous elevated level of alertness.
- Lock out tag out management and adherence.
