Alfa Laval is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities and equipment in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This role involves a wide range of hands-on technical tasks across electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and machining disciplines, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols and proactive problem-solving.

Ansvarsområden

  • Ensure the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance.
  • Assist senior Technicians with troubleshooting by following diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Apply correct methods and practices in preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and minor construction of buildings and utilities.
  • Support Maintenance Technician II, Team Lead, and Manager when additional support is needed.
  • Use proper Lock-Out Tag-Out processes and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Notify management and/or the HS&E specialist of any safety risks or repairs required.
  • Provide necessary materials to various workstations and locations to support ongoing operations.
  • Understand and clarify work plans to complete assignments with high quality and timeliness.
  • Select and safely use a variety of hand, power, and specialty tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Assist other trade personnel as needed to support team success.
  • Identify and recommend replacements or improvements when performing preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform welding and fabrication when necessary to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Perform general electrical work, including testing electrical components and taking equipment readings.
  • Repair and conduct preventive maintenance on CNC controllers.
  • Cross-train in other areas or departments to enhance versatility and support operational needs.
  • Help train new employees under the guidance of the Team Leader or Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift and upon completion of work.

Krav

  • High School degree or GED equivalent with relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Basic math skills required including ability to read a tape measure.
  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
  • Electrical or mechanical technician experience or education preferred.
  • Forklift and scissor lift operation experience preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including steel toe boots, safety glasses, fall protection, arc flash, and ear plugs.
  • Ability to work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals.
  • Ability to operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageways.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively through speech and hearing.
  • Must reside in the US or have an established presence in the area.

  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems—including cranes, hydraulics, and welding machines.
  • Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.
  • Overtime and minimal local travel (<10%) will be required.
  • Job requires standing or walking 100% of workday.
  • Regularly exert up to 75 lbs of force occasionally; 50 lbs of force frequently.
  • Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions cold or hot, wet/humid conditions, and loud noise levels. No climate-controlled environment.
  • Encounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation.
  • Employees expected to conduct themselves with professionalism, courtesy, and cooperation toward colleagues, customers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Full compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures is required to maintain a respectful, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Contribute to individual and company performance improvement through ongoing education and participation in process improvement activities.
  • Follow directions and instructions, seeking clarification when needed to ensure tasks are completed correctly.
