Volvo Cars is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for its new plant in Košice, Slovakia. This role involves ensuring the reliability and maintainability of new equipment, defining maintenance programs, optimizing mechanical systems, and leading automation improvements. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in automotive maintenance and strong communication skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Issuing and updating maintenance process documents for new equipment.
  • Defining and updating preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Inspecting and supervising the implementation of process discipline.
  • Organizing and implementing workshop mechanical system optimizations.
  • Providing expert troubleshooting for mechanical issues.
  • Acting as the primary responsible person for mechanical safety.
  • Providing technical support for mechanical equipment and managing spare parts lists.
  • Participating in equipment selection, design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Leading workshop automation improvements.
  • Sharing knowledge and training maintenance engineers and technicians.

Krav

  • Several years of previous working experience in maintenance function associated with mechanical equipment in the automotive sector (OEM/Tier 1).
  • Abilities to diagnose and deal with mechanical issues.
  • Track record of successful spare parts management and problem recurrence prevention.
  • Project management of repairs, refurbishment, and engineering change implementation projects.
  • Flexibility to work in an organization undergoing transformation or a green-field project.
  • Excellent communication skills, conversational in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Slovak language is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multinational team, influence, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Preferred university education in Industrial, Mechatronic, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
