Emerson is looking for an experienced Machinist II on 1st shift in Boulder, CO. This role involves operating complex production machinery, maintaining quality standards, and troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of machining experience.
Ansvarsområden
- Set up and operate two or more production machines on complicated production work involving difficult operations, close tolerances, and difficult set-ups.
- Follow written instructions and read blue-print specifications.
- Ensure product and process quality through visual inspection, measuring instruments, and testing.
- Document all product travelers and enter data as appropriate.
- Participate in Improvement Teams, Lean Manufacturing, and 5s + 1 efforts.
- Perform preventative maintenance on and ensure calibration of equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Assist in the orientation and training of other machinists.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow safety procedures and identify safety concerns.
Krav
- 1 year as Machinist I (internal candidates)
- For external candidates, 2+ years machining experience required
- Ability to follow written instructions and read blue-print specifications.
- Ability to perform complex setups and machine complicated parts on two or more machines.
- Ability to read, understand and edit man readable and programs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well with all members of a team.
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures.
