Alfa Laval is seeking a full-time Machine Operator I for their 2nd shift in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This role involves operating and maintaining conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate parts, reading blueprints, and using precision measuring devices. Prior manufacturing experience and basic math skills are preferred.

Ansvarsområden

  • Provide materials to workstations.
  • Read blueprints or instructions for job specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain machines, including loading, machining, unloading, and de-burring.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions for accuracy.
  • Select and secure tools, fixtures, accessories, and materials.
  • Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Replace and install machined parts, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Use precision measuring devices to check work and troubleshoot issues.
  • Transport product to assigned department.
  • Safely rig and transport structures and products using overhead cranes and forklifts.
  • Maintain a tidy work area.
  • Crosstrain in different areas to enhance team flexibility.

Krav

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic math skills including the ability to read a tape measure and calipers required.
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints preferred.
  • Experience using industrial machines preferred.
  • Forklift operation certification preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in radial drills, fin tube machinery, large vertical band saw, presses, breaks, and shears preferred.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
  • Ability to regularly exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally; 30 lbs of force frequently.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 80% of the workday.
  • Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Mobility & Posture: Standing, walking, crouching, stooping, kneeling, and balancing on varied surfaces.
  • Manual Dexterity: Reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and lifting objects using upper body strength.
  • Fine Motor Skills: Repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers for precision tasks.
  • Communication: Clear verbal expressions and active listening.
  • Sensory Abilities: Adequate hearing.

  • 1 year of professional experience related to manufacturing preferred.
