Qualcomm is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer in Raleigh, NC, to develop and implement cutting-edge machine learning techniques for efficient AI model deployment on Snapdragon platforms. Ansvarsområden
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the AI Software team at Qualcomm to optimize inference of AI models on Qualcomm AI accelerator IP.
- Validate and optimize the performance and accuracy of quantized models through detailed analysis and testing of machine learning use cases.
- Debug complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high system reliability.
- Participate in the team's adoption of agentic AI workflows — leveraging tools such as Claude Code, or similar frameworks — to help automate quantization experimentation and model evaluation pipelines.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
Krav
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning and Deep Learning theory.
- Proficiency in data structures, computer system architecture, and multi-threaded programming.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, and written).
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Hands-on experience with DL frameworks: PyTorch, ONNX, etc.
- Experience or familiarity with quantization techniques – PTQ, QAT, AWQ, SpinQuant, etc.
- Experience or familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) concepts and technologies.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems and system design fundamentals.
- Well versed in version control tools like git and build tools like cmake.
- Awareness / exposure to agentic AI frameworks (e.g. Claude Code) and their application to development or testing automation.
