Microsoft is seeking a Lease Construction Manager (LCM) to oversee data center construction projects across various US locations. The LCM will act as the Employer's Representative, ensuring lease providers comply with Microsoft's requirements, driving safe and efficient project delivery, and coordinating with internal Subject Matter Experts. This role requires strong communication, technical depth in data center design and construction, and leadership skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Manage a safe worksite as a relentless advocate.
  • Identify and manage stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables with Microsoft teams (E2E, Security, DCE, DC Ops, SSA, EHS).
  • Manage lease providers and support associated teams to deliver Ready for Service (RFS).
  • Ensure alignment of regional goals for capacity delivery with business OKRs.
  • Identify and track KPIs to improve RFS delivery and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Maintain lease contract requirements using MSFT best practices.
  • Drive deployment of solutions for global socialization across the MSFT Lease Delivery Organization.
  • Facilitate decision-making for solutions, schedules, and change management.
  • Apply influence, strategies, and negotiation skills to identify options and recommend solutions.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for project development and delivery.
  • Coordinate meetings and activities of Lease Providers and internal MSFT SMEs.
  • Attend OAC and other project meetings, and report as necessary.
  • Report project progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required.
  • Provide weekly project status reporting to Lease Construction standards.
  • Manage the construction process for achieving RFS.
  • Track lessons learned and identified improvements for sharing across groups.
  • Route RFS approval to all stakeholders and regional approvers.
  • Ensure lease provider compliance with lease agreement contracts.
  • Drive regional capacity delivery goals aligned with business OKRs.
  • Assess resourcing and forecast business needs to meet demands.

Krav

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years of extensive experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
  • 2+ years of Construction Health & Safety Knowledge.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years experience working on data center projects.
  • Knowledge of lease negotiations, construction contracts, and commissioning processes.
  • Professional accreditation in Engineering such as IMechE & IEL
  • Qualifications in Construction Contracts Management
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
