Sandvik Mining & Rock is seeking an Inventory Lead for their Romeoville, Illinois facility on the 1st shift. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, directing team members, troubleshooting discrepancies, and supporting warehouse operations. A minimum of 3-6 years of warehousing experience and knowledge of WMS are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Direct, coordinate and assist in physical inventory, including auditing and monitoring cycle counts
  • Maintain accurate records of all audits, counts, and adjustments.
  • Trouble shoot and analyze inventory issues/discrepancies and process accurate inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure that all operational reporting is completed and made available via applicable Sandvik systems.
  • Drives and partners with cross-functional teams to develop and implement approved changes
  • Monitors and directs the work of others
  • Makes decisions and communicates work practices, procedures, and methods to associates as required
  • Warehouse administration and housekeeping
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Leads task teams in the warehouse to achieve daily outcomes.
  • Allocation of responsibilities to individual team members
  • Provision of backup support to all team members as required
  • Provision of on the job coaching and guidance as and when necessary
  • Answering technical queries of team members as required

Krav

  • 3-6 years warehousing and inventory experience.
  • Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse management system (preferably Blue Yonder or SAP) or plant systems, processes and procedures.
  • Strong Excel and decision-making skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with associates/customers.
  • Ability to work specific shift
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts’, practices and procedures, read, understand and follow directions/instructions/work procedures/safety rules, operate various office equipment as needed, perform simple math calculations, operate basic document and spreadsheet software.
  • High School or equivalent experience.
  • English Proficiency: Intermediate (CEFR B1/ Completed EF level 6)

  • Post-secondary education/training in business or supply chain discipline would be of advantage.
