Qualcomm is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer with expertise in Linux, Kernel, and Yocto for their Automotive division in Bangalore, India. This role involves supporting Linux-based automotive platforms, debugging kernel issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation in connected car technologies.

Ansvarsområden

  • Support Linux-based automotive platforms in virtualized environments.
  • Perform system-level analysis of Linux/Kernel issues.
  • Collaborate with Architecture, design, Performance, Power/Thermal Systems, and software teams for optimal system performance.
  • Integrate and maintain (upgrade) Linux kernel and kernel platform components.
  • Work on different Kernel build strategies (Yocto-based and Bazel-based flows), kernel configuration, and version alignment.
  • Debug early boot issues in stand-alone and virtualized environments.
  • Develop device drivers or services/applications in Linux platform, Kernel, and features for automotive virtualization use-cases.
  • Customize LV builds for headless version and security-related distros.
  • Collaborate with global platform, kernel, and virtualization teams to deliver stable releases.
  • Drive technical discussions, design reviews, and onboarding/ramp-up activities for Kernel topics.

Krav

  • At least 6+ years of experience in Linux/Kernel/Yocto.
  • Experience with system-level analysis of Linux/Kernel issues.
  • Experience with integration and maintenance (upgrade) of Linux kernel and kernel platform components.
  • Experience with Kernel build strategies (Yocto-based and Bazel-based flows).
  • Experience with kernel configuration and version alignment.
  • Solid understanding of Kernel bring-up, boot validation, and early boot debugging in stand-alone and virtualized environments.
  • Good development experience of Device Drives or Services/Application in Linux platform, Kernel, features required for automotive virtualization use-cases.
  • Ability to customize LV builds for headless version, Security related distros.
  • Experience with operating systems concepts - scheduling, memory management and device drivers.
  • Experience using debug tools like GDB, JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
  • 6+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
