I korthet

We are seeking a Lead Developer for Financial Crime Prevention Models to join Nordea in Helsinki, Lodz, Warsaw, or Tallinn. This role involves designing, analyzing, and optimizing transaction monitoring models to combat financial crime and strengthen AML/CTF controls. You will own model development and validation, drive governance activities, and mentor the analytics team.

Ansvarsområden

  • Own the development and validation of transaction monitoring models, focusing on documentation, review, and governance.
  • Drive model governance activities, including validation assessments and implementing feedback.
  • Set and execute the direction for model development and experimental design.
  • Document model design and outcomes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide hands-on support for prototyping tests and analytical methodologies.
  • Mentor and collaborate with the analytics team on model SOPs (data lineage, tuning, calibration, monitoring).
  • Represent the organization professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Krav

  • Extensive experience in model risk management, model governance, and validation.
  • Strong background in data science, statistics, and quantitative methods.
  • Experience in academic or technical writing, especially for model documentation.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • An advanced degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Financial Crime/AML, such as transaction monitoring and technology suppliers (preferred).
  • Experience as a model validator or quantitative risk analyst (preferred).
