Synopsys is seeking a Junior Hardware Engineer in Porto Salvo, Portugal to design and develop semiconductor solutions. This role involves building test automation scripts, analyzing validation data, debugging hardware issues with lab instrumentation, and potentially applying AI/ML techniques. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and programming experience are required.

Ansvarsområden

  • Build and maintain test automation scripts for validation and data collection.
  • Analyze validation data to identify trends and anomalies.
  • Learn to apply AI and machine learning techniques to data interpretation.
  • Debug hardware issues using lab instrumentation.
  • Maintain database infrastructure for data collection.
  • Set up and document test configurations.
  • Organize and report test results for engineering teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and tools.

Krav

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers).
  • Ability to read and interpret board schematics and electronic component functions.
  • Programming or scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis libraries in Python (Pandas, NumPy) or exposure to machine learning.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Experience in Digital Design with either Verilog or VHDL is a plus.
