Volvo Group is seeking a Fall 2026 Intern for their Buyer position within the Trucks Technology & Industrial Division in Greensboro, NC. This role offers students the chance to apply academic knowledge in purchasing, supporting RFQs, negotiations, and supplier base analysis. The internship runs from August 17th to December 11th, 2026, with a potential monthly housing stipend.

Ansvarsområden

  • Support in evaluating the performance of the current supply base.
  • Help minimize disturbances in the supply chain by steering improvements.
  • Assist in securing that suppliers are delivering according to Volvo’s specifications.
  • Serve as an interface between operation plants and suppliers during running production.
  • Manage activities related to supplier relationships (meetings, documents, feedback, etc.).
  • Support Buyers in day-to-day activities such as issuing RFQ’s, running reports, creating dashboards, etc.
  • Participate in supplier and internal team meetings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain the best possible results for Volvo in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and features.

Krav

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • Completed 30 semester hours prior to the start of the internship.
  • Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student at the start of the internship.
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
  • Fall Interns may work up to 30 hours per week and must be enrolled as a student.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Organized and agile in your way of working, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Team-player focused.
  • Developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Experience with Power Bi and Power Automate is a plus.
