I korthet

Nordea seeks an Infrastructure Operations Specialist in Gdańsk to ensure the operational health of Credit APIs and microservices. Responsibilities include incident and problem management, production monitoring, deployment execution, and environment oversight, with a focus on improving observability and automation.

Ansvarsområden

  • Own the RCA process for production incidents, diagnosing, resolving, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Continuously monitor service health, detect anomalies early, and act before they become incidents.
  • Execute and oversee release deployments through CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting failures and coordinating rollbacks.
  • Ensure Pre-Production and Production environments remain stable and aligned.
  • Document operational procedures, known issues, and resolution steps to build a knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with development and platform teams to triage issues and clarify operational requirements.

Krav

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT Operations or 2nd line technical support, DevOps.
  • Proven track record of owning incidents end-to-end — from alert to RCA to prevention.
  • 2+ years working within ITIL framework (incident, problem, change management).
  • Strong background in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Proficiency with log analysis and alerting tools: Splunk, Apica, Sysdig.
  • Experience with observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Comfortable operating services running on Kubernetes (checking pod health, reading logs, triggering restarts).
  • Familiarity with Jenkins pipelines for executing and troubleshooting deployments.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, DB2) for querying, interpreting execution plans, and identifying data-related incidents.
  • Working knowledge of Spring/Hibernate application behavior, Kafka message flows, XML/JSON payloads.

  • Java/J2EE development background.
  • IBM Datastage operational experience.
  • Scripting experience (Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Experience with Ansible for applying configuration changes.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and take ownership when production is critical.
  • Proactive communication skills.
  • Curiosity to understand root causes of issues.
