We are seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) for a full-time, on-site role in Scarborough. This position involves the precision service, diagnostic repair, and overhaul of rotating industrial equipment, with a focus on high-speed and decanter centrifuges, all within a strict ISO 9001 and HSE framework.

Ansvarsområden

  • Perform full lifecycle servicing of high-speed separators, decanter rotating assemblies, and gearboxes, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, grinding, fitting, and balancing.
  • Clean parts and components using manual high-pressure washer and automatic parts washing machine.
  • Utilize manual lathe, milling machine, welding, and hand grinding skills to refurbish components.
  • Read and interpret engineered drawings and technical manuals.
  • Operate as a safety leader ensuring 100% compliance with PPE requirements and safety protocols.
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to maneuver heavy components.
  • Cross-train on various equipment within the Alfa Laval product line as required.

Krav

  • Certified Journeyman Millwright or Industrial Machinist with general mechanical skills.
  • Proven track record in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient in the use of manual lathes, milling machine, hand grinding, and other shop equipment.
  • Advanced ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions independently.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and web-based applications for reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Availability for overtime and flexible work hours.
  • Must maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Specific experience with rotating equipment or high-speed machinery is a significant asset.
  • A 'safety-first' attitude with the ability to identify and mitigate workshop hazards.
  • A dynamic, goal-oriented, and results-driven professional with a disciplined and highly organized approach to task management.
  • High physical stamina including bending, reaching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, and lifting heavy components.
  • Willing to accommodate extended periods of standing.
  • Exposure to industrial variables including hazardous materials, chemicals, high noise levels, and mechanical vibrations.

  • Salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 CAD annually, based on experience.
