As an Industrial Equipment Assembler at Dekker Vacuum Technologies Inc. in Michigan City, Indiana, you will assemble industrial vacuum equipment with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a high school diploma, 5+ years of production assembly experience, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and use various measurement tools.

Ansvarsområden

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Use product work instructions, mechanical/electrical drawings, and bill of materials to complete assembly work.
  • Perform quality checks and complete required paperwork.
  • Identify and escalate part quality issues or engineering errors.
  • Support 6S initiatives for workplace cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintain discipline in the work area and respect job order due dates and routing times.
  • Support rework and repair tasks as needed.
  • Be agile and flexible in job assignments to meet customer order needs.
  • Respect and improve standard assembly times and capture hours worked.

Krav

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in production assembly or a related field.
  • Proven ability to handle complex, large-scale assemblies with precision and efficiency.
  • Effective use of appropriate hand and power tools.
  • Assembly experience with the ability to install and align motors/gearboxes/pumps, perform extensive piping runs, and install valves and instrumentation to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex assembly instructions from blueprints/drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret measurement devices including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, pressure/level/temperature gauges, vibration monitors, etc.
  • Strong technical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly.
  • Ability to contribute immediately without extensive training or supervision.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other mobile equipment and lifting devices.
  • Able to manually lift up to 50lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for daily tasks in Microsoft Teams/Outlook, business systems, and production tracking programs.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Working knowledge of vacuum pumps design, manufacture and maintenance is highly beneficial.
