Ansvarsområden

  • Drive efficiency improvements for current and future manufacturing processes.
  • Work for continuous improvements to process delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Participate in process problem analysis and problem-solving using DMAIC methodology.
  • Increase commonality and share best practices within VCM.
  • Decrease manufacturing variability within the Process Engineering area.
  • Function as the interface between Production and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Plan for future car projects deliverables and rebalance manning requirements.
  • Implement lean process improvements and reduce waste.
  • Lead Kaizen events with cross-functional teams.
  • Consider safety, ergonomics, and quality in all work aspects.
  • Perform return on investment calculations for suggested improvements.
  • Perform time studies, capacity analysis, layout/product flow analyses, and standardized work.
  • Participate in Launch Team Activities and Budget Projects.
  • Manage, organize, assist with training, and facilitate Kaizen and lean thinking implementation workshops.
  • Develop and maintain standard labor hours, cycle time, and takt time.
  • Improve efficiency of existing processes and equipment using Value Stream Map techniques.
  • Involve in DRM, planning future models, line layouts, and process development.
  • Review material facades and line-side part staging for improvements.
  • Spread knowledge of Volvo Car Line Fundamentals.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 2+ years’ experience from manual, highly repetitive and short cycle time assembly processes.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Effective communication skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Expert knowledge in balancing, manning calculations, productivity analysis/loss analysis, capacity analysis, and ergonomics.
  • Strong knowledge of Product and Process Engineering.
  • Experience of Leading People.
  • Proficient and experienced in line balancing, cycle time calculations, time studies, capacity analysis, and other Industrial Engineering tasks.
  • High energy and passion for the job; self-driven.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.
  • Great abilities to organize and prioritize.
  • Great problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach.
  • Great ability to build engagement within the team.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in simulation software is a plus.
