As a Platform Owner – Metal Enclosures at ABB in Nashik, India, you will lead the development, localization, and lifecycle management of Metal Enclosures and Distribution Board portfolios. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and 12-15 years of experience in product design or R&D, with proficiency in engineering tools and strong technical leadership skills.

Ansvarsområden

  • Oversee development, localization, enhancement, and lifecycle management of ABB’s Metal Enclosures and Distribution Board portfolio.
  • Guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and market requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end R&D projects, ensuring milestones, quality objectives, and timelines.
  • Manage new product development, localization, customization, product enhancements, and technology assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance to design and validation teams, overseeing design reviews, prototypes, testing, and validation.
  • Support value engineering, product cost reduction, and project cost estimation.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and global R&D teams.
  • Maintain product documentation and support product lifecycle management.

Krav

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized institution.
  • 12–15 years of experience in product design, product development, or R&D engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and managing engineering/R&D projects from concept through execution.
  • Solid practical experience with metal enclosures, Low Voltage distribution boards, switchgear, or related electrical products.
  • Proficiency in Creo, Windchill/PDM, and PLM systems.
  • Solid understanding of design and development processes.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills.
