Alstom is looking for an experienced HR Manager for a permanent, full-time role in Melbourne, Australia. This position will provide HR support to key functional areas, including Quality, EHS, and Finance, partnering with leaders to deliver proactive HR solutions and foster a positive workplace culture.
Ansvarsområden
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the functional client group.
- Support and coach managers through performance improvement, difficult conversations, and the full Performance Management Cycle.
- Lead and support workforce planning activities, including talent assessment and retention strategies.
- Support change management, restructuring, redeployment, and organizational design initiatives.
- Partner with the Talent Development team to roll out learning and development and DE&I initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day generalist HR activities like onboarding, promotions, contract management, and terminations.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to monitor recruitment activity.
- Support expatriate and visa processes in partnership with the mobility team.
- Assist with Compensation & Benefits activities.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and ensure employee changes are processed correctly.
- Provide HR reporting, performance metrics, and data insights.
- Monitor site HR costs and contribute to broader HR projects.
Krav
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role within a similar industry or environment.
- Demonstrated capability across all areas of HR practice.
- Experience operating within a matrix organization.
- Ability to influence and build credibility without direct authority.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act.
- Ability to interpret employment contracts, Awards, and company policies.
- Proven ability to support managers through performance, change, and employee relations matters.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment, managing competing priorities effectively.
- Collaborative, proactive approach and genuine enthusiasm for partnering with the business to drive people outcomes.
