HGV Technician needed in Perth for Volvo Trucks. Responsibilities include performing MOT service inspections, fault finding, and repairs on heavy vehicles. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay, overtime, bonuses, and extensive benefits.
Ansvarsområden
- Carry out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks.
- Perform fault finding and repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, and suspension systems.
- Conduct repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
- Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
- Road test vehicles when required (if holding an HGV license).
- Assist with roadside breakdowns.
- Process all relevant paperwork accurately.
- Ensure all vehicle defects are reported.
- Maintain workshop facilities, equipment, and tools.
- Support the development of trainees and apprentices.
Krav
- A Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
- Previous experience working on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Hold an HGV license for road testing vehicles.
