Seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee risk management, ensure adherence to legislation, and foster a safety culture across Etobicoke and Toronto Downtown locations. This role involves leading teams, conducting investigations, and acting as a key point of contact for compliance matters.
Ansvarsområden
- Promote risk management within the unit, informing and sharing expertise.
- Develop a risk-aware decision-making process aligned with business goals.
- Implement systems to detect, analyze, and reduce business loss and prevent incidents.
- Ensure implementation of Ingka Rules and local legislation.
- Guide stakeholders to ensure compliance and a healthy, safe, and secure environment.
- Conduct internal investigations and analyze unit processes and data.
- Identify and plan necessary training for co-workers and external partners.
- Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for emergency cases.
- Act as the single point of contact for authorities regarding Risk & Compliance.
- Coordinate external vendors for proactive risk mitigation.
Krav
- Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in Risk Management, Health & Safety, Compliance, Security, Loss Prevention, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to build trusted partnerships and influence stakeholders.
- Experience fostering a strong culture of safety, security, accountability, and compliance.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to lead through change and adapt to different environments.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Agile mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
