Saab is seeking a senior leader to establish and head its new Strategy & Transformation function within Naval Combat Systems. This role is responsible for realizing the strategy through prioritization, investment, and execution, shaping mid- to long-term roadmaps, and driving a transformation agenda across Product Units. The position offers significant strategic impact in a technology-intensive international business.
Ansvarsområden
- Ensure strategy is realized through prioritization, investment, and work execution.
- Hold overall responsibility for the NCS strategic plan and mid- to long-term roadmap.
- Translate strategy into a focused transformation agenda across Product Units and global roles.
- Guide choices on focus areas, product development, organizational structure, and execution order.
- Collaborate with Product Units (e.g., Fire Control System, Combat Systems), Portfolio & Modularisation, Governance & Operations, global roles, and Marketing & Sales.
- Report to the Head of Strategy, Portfolio & Governance.
- Shape and maintain NCS roadmaps for growth, capabilities, and investments based on market, customer, and technology developments.
- Integrate initiatives from Product Units and global roles into a coherent portfolio with clear priorities and sequencing.
- Support critical decisions on portfolio, industrial footprint, operating model, and ways of working.
- Establish practical follow-up on progress, benefits, and KPIs, adjusting as needed.
- Help leaders and teams navigate change to ensure new structures and processes are adopted.
Krav
- Senior leadership experience with a proven track record in driving strategy and transformation.
- Experience in complex, technology-intensive organizations.
- Experience working with executive teams.
- Both strategic perspective and a grounded understanding of business change.
- Documented experience leading a business, product area, or major transformation with accountability for results.
- Background from high-tech, industrial, or system-driven environments with multiple stakeholders and interfaces.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies, portfolios, or roadmaps and to follow up on value and effects.
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to frame options and trade-offs for senior decision-makers.
- Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to create clarity and alignment across different organizational parts.
- Pragmatic and steady leadership style.
- Ability to listen, build confidence, and challenge when necessary.
- Motivation by long-term impact, not quick wins.
- Pride in helping others succeed.
Önskade kvalifikationer
- Experience in naval combat systems or related technology-intensive fields is likely beneficial.
- Familiarity with software-defined capabilities and evolving combat systems would be advantageous.
