Alstom is looking for a full-time Head of Labor & Employee Relations for Central & Northern Europe to be based in Berlin. This role will drive the regional labor relations strategy, advise on complex matters, lead negotiations, and manage M&A processes while ensuring legal compliance and social dialogue.
Ansvarsområden
- Drive the regional labor relations strategy aligned with global governance and local legal standards.
- Act as the principal advisor on high-impact labor relations matters.
- Lead critical negotiations, restructurizations, and Mergers & Acquisitions processes.
- Safeguard legal integrity and social dialogue.
- Drive stakeholder alignment with works councils, trade unions, and senior leaders.
- Provide overarching guidance on cross-country labor and collective law.
- Coordinate governance and consultation procedures for the European Works Forum (EWF).
- Direct restructuring workstreams and collective negotiations.
- Lead all Labor Relations aspects in Mergers and Acquisitions transactions.
- Manage high-stake Labor Relations communication.
Krav
- Fully qualified lawyer with outstanding expertise in employment and labor law (First and Second State Examination).
- Ideally certified as a Specialist Lawyer in Employment Law.
- Several years of experience in labor relations, ideally within an industrial or technically driven environment.
- Strong leadership presence with proven effectiveness in complex, multicultural, and unionized settings.
- Deep expertise in employment and collective labor law.
- Strong command of governance, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Outstanding negotiation and consultation capabilities at national and European level.
- Experience with EWF processes.
- Analytical, integrity-driven leadership style with clear communication and a pragmatic, hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
- German and English at business-proficient level.
