Alfa Laval is seeking an inspirational Head of Legal for its India operations based in Pune. This senior role will lead the legal and compliance function, acting as a strategic advisor on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, M&A, IP, and risk management, ensuring adherence to laws and policies.

Ansvarsområden

  • Lead the legal and compliance function, developing and executing legal strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing proactive, business-oriented legal counsel.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and internal policies, driving robust compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee dispute resolution and litigation in coordination with external counsel.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing legal team and strengthen governance practices.
  • Provide comprehensive legal expertise across commercial contracts, R&D, product liability, M&A, and IP.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of complex commercial agreements.
  • Manage and coordinate disputes and litigation matters with external counsel.
  • Oversee Company Secretarial responsibilities for Alfa Laval India Cluster companies.
  • Lead and oversee Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Krav

  • Over 10-15 years of relevant legal experience in-house and/or private practice.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) or higher.
  • Qualified Company Secretary (ACS/FCS).
  • Proven experience in negotiating complex, high-value commercial contracts with multinational organizations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, mentoring, or leading legal professionals.

Önskade kvalifikationer

  • Expertise in compliance areas including Export Control, Trade Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption, Fair Competition, and Data Privacy (preferred).
